HomeAid Orange County
About: In 1989, HomeAid Orange County was founded with the goal of ending homelessness by leveraging the trades within the building industry. Their first housing project was a renovation of a farmhouse in the City of Irvine in 1989. Established by the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Orange County Chapter, they primarily construct housing for non-profit service providers and public entities that serve people experiencing homelessness. Their unique model, centered around in-kind donations of labor and materials from building industry partners, saves a minimum of 30% of market costs on each HomeAid housing construction project.
At HomeAid, they believe that housing is a human right. Every person deserves a safe and dignified space to call home. Each HomeAid project brings them one step closer to their goal: building a future without homelessness.
Mission: To help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

Ronald McDonald House OC
About: Children heal faster when they are with their families. At the Ronald McDonald House Orange County, they see it every day. And while the Ronald McDonald House Orange County may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, they can help lessen the burden for the families they serve. Since 1989, when the Ronald McDonald House opened, they have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together, giving them a place to rest and refresh. Then they expanded to meet the urgent needs of the community, with the addition of two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located inside two area hospitals.
Mission: To provide comfort, care, and support to children and families in Southern California.

Mission: To minister the love of Jesus Christ to the Least, the Last, and the Lost of our Community through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care, and independent living communities.
Autism Speaks
About: Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. Several factors may influence the development of autism, and it is often accompanied by sensory sensitivities and medical issues such as gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, seizures, or sleep disorders, as well as mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and attention issues. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated1 in 36 children in the United States today.
We know that there is not one autism but many subtypes, most influenced by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Because autism is a spectrum disorder, each person with autism has a distinct set of strengths and challenges. The ways in which people with autism learn, think and problem-solve can range from highly skilled to severely challenged. Some people with ASD may require significant support in their daily lives, while others may need less support and, in some cases, live entirely independently.
Mission: Autism Speaks is dedicated to creating an inclusive world for all individuals with autism throughout their lifespan. This is doable through advocacy, services, support, research, and innovation, and advances in care for autistic individuals and their families.
- Ensure access to reliable information and services across the lifespan
- Support research and innovation that drives towards improved quality of life and well-being for individuals with autism throughout their lives
- Leverage our assets through advocacy, partnerships, and collaboration to support, extend and convene the work of service providers
- Accelerate delivery of solutions for adult quality of life needs, including transition, employment, housing, and health and wellness
- Live and promote principles of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion both in and outside of the organization

Teen Challenge SoCal
About: Teen Challenge is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on the generous donations, funding and volunteer efforts of both individuals and organizations throughout the Orange County communities in order to offer services at no cost to the individual. They know that community involvement and support are essential components of recovery and necessary to provide services that address the specific needs of the communities involved.
The early years of Orange County Teen Challenge consisted of various homes, offices, and coffee shops. A handful of men and women were committed to bringing freedom to those caught in addiction and preventing many others from ever having to experience the destructiveness of drugs, alcohol, and gang violence.
In 2006, Orange County Teen Challenge acquired a 4,000-square-foot building, which was renovated to facilitate the rapidly growing youth programs. The new building facilitates parenting classes for families with at-risk youth and pregnant teens, English as a Second Language classes, and support groups. The house behind it was also purchased and is now used to house graduates in the “Mentoring Program” who are in transition from dependents of Teen Challenge to productive members of society.
Evangelism and outreach to at-risk youth and families have always been at the heart of the ministry in Orange County Teen Challenge.
Mission: Teen Challenge SoCal provides youth, adults, and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society. By applying biblical principles, Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally-sound, emotionally-balanced, socially-adjusted, physically-well, and spiritually-alive.
