Transmission: The Kia Rio utilizes Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) which automatically shifts depending on the speed. The individual speeds are selected based on the position of the shift lever. This technology results in better transmission efficiency and greater fuel economy.

Steering: The Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) system multiplies the steering force by using an electronic motor. The input of force used to steer the vehicle is proportionate to the speed at which the vehicle is driving.

Driving modes: There are 4 different drive mode functions capable in the Kia Rio. These modes and functions include:

• Eco – Improves fuel economy.
• Comfort – Lighter steering for a smoother ride and acceleration.

Trim information There are two trim options with the Kia Rio. The LX trim will offer fewer features while the S trim comes with far more features with MSRP starting at $640 more. The S offers more exterior paint colors, remote keyless entry, smart key push button start, cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls, rear folding seats, lane assist, auto braking, and LED positioning headlights.

Interior: The interior has been thoroughly designed with a spacious cabin and several adjustment preferences providing maximum comfort, no matter if you are the driver or passenger. These modifiable features include tilt steering, a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and height-adjustable front seat belt anchors.

Comfort: The Kia Rio has many storage compartments including dual front cup holders, front and rear door pockets with bottle holders, an overhead sunglass holder, and a glove box with illumination. Technology: Kia has leveled up the drive featuring an 8-inch touchscreen display in both trim options. Safety Technology: Safety features integrated into the Kia Rio include several different airbag systems throughout the vehicle, 3-point seat belts, front seat belt pre-tensioners, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, side-impact door beams, rear child-safety door locks, and many more.
