Transmission: The Kia Telluride is equipped with a 291-horsepower 3.8 liter V6 engine, featuring 8-speed automatic transmission. The refined V6 engine can accelerate at an impressive rate regardless of it being a larger build. The Active On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system uses electronic sensors to observe road conditions. When traction and control are needed, the Telluride automatically distributes power to the appropriate wheels ensuring safe transportation through difficult conditions. In extreme conditions, the driver can register the AWD Lock or Snow Mode to provide optimal traction.

Steering: The Column-Mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (C-MDPS) system multiplies the steering force by using an electronic motor. The input of force used to steer the vehicle is proportionate to the vehicle's speed.

Driving modes: The Kia Telluride offers 4 different drive mode functions. There is one additional mode available on the AWD trims, which is Snow mode. These modes and functions include:
